The Metropolitan Transit Authority is enjoying its most paying customers in 58 years. So with this boom in business, it can afford to provide the best service in 58 years too, right?
Fat chance. Or so says this reporter with the Hofstra Chronicle.
We know the truth. You're not "just" a secretary. You're the one who holds it all together. You're the hum and flash of that well-oiled machine they call The Office. You make the city's big shots look brilliant. You're a juggler, a gatekeeper, a diplomat. You bring home the bacon and you fry it up in the pan. And at Just a Sec, we salute you. Keep on goin' strong, administrative superheroes! This blog is for you! E-mail Just-a-Sec
We are a group of secretaries working in New York City. We are working mothers, we are childless; some of us are married, others single; we're city-dwellers and suburban commuters, of widely varying ages.
What we have in common is our profession and a desire to keep it together and live the most fulfilling lives possible. We're smart, savvy, and we like to laugh.
We hope to be of some service, or at least entertainment, to you.
Sure, we welcome the opportunity to sample and review products and services of interest to New York's working women. And we don't charge a review fee, either. However, we reserve the right to express our honest opinion, because to do otherwise would be a disservice to our readers. We're also unable to return product samples due to the volume of items we receive, and the general chaos it creates to have to track return deadlines and do all that shipping. (As if we weren't busy enough!) But we have a genuine interest in introducing our readers to good stuff, from food to haircuts to useful gadgets. So if you'd like to introduce us to your product or service, feel free to e-mail us at justasecnyc@yahoo.com.
